Baby & infant passport photos without the pharmacy stress

Pharmacies and post offices often struggle or refuse to photograph infants. Lay your baby on a white crib sheet, snap a photo from above, and we format it to official 2×2 in specifications.

Complete Guide: How to Take and Print a Baby Passport Photo at Home

Taking a newborn or infant to a retail store like CVS or Walgreens for passport photos is often frustrating. Babies cannot hold their heads up on standard stools, and store employees frequently produce rejected photos with visible parent hands or shadows.

1. The White Sheet Method

Lay a clean, plain white bed sheet or blanket on a flat mattress or floor. Place your baby on their back on top of the sheet.

2. Overhead Photo Capture

Stand directly above your baby (approximately 3–4 feet) so the camera lens is parallel to their face. Ensure lighting is even from both sides so their head does not cast a dark shadow onto the sheet.

3. Relaxed Rules for Newborns

The U.S. State Department explicitly acknowledges that infants and newborns may not keep their eyes fully open or maintain a strictly neutral expression. Partial eye opening is acceptable for infants.

Three steps. Under a minute.

  1. 1

    Snap a photo

Stand facing a plain light wall in daytime lighting. Hold your smartphone camera at eye level.

  2. 2

    Align with biometric guide

Drag, zoom, and tilt until chin and crown fit the official Baby Passport Photo tolerance zones.

  3. 3

    Save & print for 35¢

Download the uncompressed digital file and the 4×6 print sheet with multiple copies.
